Since 2015, Voetjes van de Vloer has been Amsterdam’s annual celebration of dance, talent, and urban culture. From rising stars to household names, this is where creativity, connection, and movement come together.
For USWA 2025, we’re going all out with three explosive core events and a packed program full of surprises!
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
B.O.O.S.T. Battle XIII
Let’s battle! The 13th edition of the ultimate Hip Hop freestyle battle of Amsterdam. Join the nation’s top dance battle in the Female and Male categories. Expect skills, style, and fire
– This is the one you can’t miss.
Dance Showcases
From local crews to established names in the scene: experience inspiring performances from all corners of Amsterdam. From Hip Hop to Fusion, Frond trend to traidition from Zuidoost to Nieuw-West
– This is your city in motion!
Dance Jam
Jump in! Our open dance jam is the place to dance, freestyle, vibe on fresh beats, and connect with other dance lovers. Expect spontaneous cyphers, real energy, and an open floor for all
– Whether you’re a beginner or a pro or just likes to move on music, everybody’s welcome!
Side Program: Arcade Video Games Area
Need a break from the dance floor? Step into our gaming zone and dive into:

More than a Festival
Voetjes van de Vloer is an initiative by Gregory Shaggy – dancer, choreographer, host, and cultural entrepreneur from Amsterdam Zuidoost. With his foundation Free&Style, he empowers young dancers by giving them the stage – and a future in the professional dance world.
This festival is part of a broader movement:
- Studio Free&Style – a space for daily dance education & development
- Events like Voetjes van de Vloer, #BijlmerBattle & B.O.O.S.T. Battle
- Theater shows like (Y)our Eyes Only & INGI
- Online platforms like Dansaudities (FB) and Danskalender (IG) for national and online reach
- Annual presence at Kwaku Summer Festival, inspiring hundreds of youth with shows & workshops
